About the Artist
Cody Roberts is an internationally award-winning fine art photographer based in Maui, Hawaiʻi. For over 15 years, he’s explored the Earth's remaining wilderness—from the tropical rainforests of the Hawaiian Islands to the glacial fjords of Patagonia—to document the vitality of the natural world. His practice is defined by a commitment to conservation; he actively collaborates with organizations like The Nature Conservancy and local watershed partnerships to help steward the landscapes he photographs.
Cody is currently an Artist in Residence at the Four Seasons Resort Maui. His work has garnered over 25 international accolades, including recognition from Communication Arts and the reFocus World Photo Annual. His limited-edition prints are held in public and private collections worldwide and have been featured in publications such as Condé Nast Traveler. Beyond his gallery presence with Maui Hands and Hāna Coast Gallery, Cody integrates his art with hands-on restoration efforts.
My Artistic Philosophy
“Guided by intuition and a lifelong connection to nature, my creative expression unfolds through exploration, conservation, and cultivating a conscious relationship with the Earth. My reverence for vital wilderness areas has led me to spectacular locations across the Hawaiian Islands and beyond, preserving their natural beauty through visual arts and hands-on restoration work with numerous environmental organizations.
In this rapidly changing world, I want my life and my work to reflect a state of wellness—to create visual arts that will help save vital ecosystems, and inspire others to live life more consciously. Art has the power to take us to places we’ve never been before and understand the world more deeply. I want my artwork to transport you to these wild places, and inspire a deeper connection to the magnificent lands that sustain our life on Earth.”
