A New Year

Brings New Perspective

With love & gratitude

Wishing you all a peaceful and enlightening new year! Thank you everyone for supporting me in my creative journey, I met so many amazing people this year. Sharing the world’s beauty gives my life a meaningful purpose, and allows me to continue learning and working to help protect the land that sustains us.

In 2024…

Documenting Maui’s Humpback Whales under Permit #26727

I swam with humpback whales for the first time after being recruited to work with The Humpback Sanctuary, a NOAA-permitted film project.

My wife, friends, and I worked with the Mauna Kahālāwai Watershed Partnership to help plant trees and restore a native Hawaiian ecosystem.

I collaborated with The Nature Conservancy and the East Maui Watershed Partnership to document the 20th anniversary of Mālama Wao Akua – an art exhibition that honors and celebrates our native Hawaiian species.

My piece “Sea Spirits” was selected for the Artists of Hawaiʻi annual exhibition in Honolulu by Professor Tom Klobe – the founding director of the University of Hawai'i Art Gallery and emeritus professor in the UH Mānoa Art Department. Out of over 2,000 entires across all islands, I’m thrilled to have made the top 10% of the artists in Hawai’i!

I witnessed and captured a historical swell from a boat and a helicopter with some of my best friends. The north shore produced waves over 50 feet in height, and I’m thrilled to have finished the year creating new artwork! Stay tuned!

Aloha
