Aloha Kakahiaka
In Hawaiʻi, the weather patterns are often dictated by the makani or wind. Some of our clearest days occur when the winds are calm, revealing the summits of our majestic mountains and the beautiful depths and colors of our oceans. Soaring above the north shore of Kauaʻi, I marveled at this pristine morning when I witnessed the peaks of Makua and the coral reefs of Hāʻena.

BEYOND THE VEIL
I watched in awe as rogue waves crashed into the towering cliffs of the Nā Pali Coast, creating an atmospheric mist that drenched the landscape. Moments later, the scene came to life as a golden glow from the setting sun poured through an opening in the clouds to reveal the hidden depths of a sublime world. What wondrous beauty lies beyond the veil?
SOLSTICE SWELL
Entering the ethereal glow of dawn and twilight over the course of three days, Cody encountered a vast spectrum of vivid surf: from serene glass barrels to mammoth swells the size of five-story buildings. Limits were pushed, memories were created, and many were blessed to experience waves of a lifetime.
PROSPERITY
In the Hawaiian islands, wai (water) is our most precious resource. The Hawaiian word for wealth (waiwai) alludes not only to the physical presence of water, but also to the fertility, abundance, and prosperity it provides.
